ABOUT YOU!

So, you say you want to write a book?  In life there's the hard way, that often costs you more time, energy and effort, and the smarter way, to listen and learn from those who've already self-published their own books successfully.  So which method do you use to successfully publish your books?  If your method isn't working, isn't it time to rethink your approach?

Recently we've helped two Wisconsin authors to be featured on this website; Diane Whiteside and Robert (R.D.) Rutta.

Diane was inspired over a short period of time to compile a collection of poems we helped her to publish.  We helped her create a new account with our POD publisher, organize and format her book of poems, generate PDF files,  upload her files and even build a professional website to help her market her new book.

We even tutored her husband Don, step-by-step in learning how to create a stronger book cover.  This was a leap of faith and learning curve for both of them which they now treasure.

Bob is a friend who had already found our POD publisher for publishing his first book for free.  With a little guidance we helped him obtain an important domain and create a professional website to also help him market his book.

We also shared ideas on improving his book cover which wastes too much space and didn't have a website to capture potential readers.

Ready To Learn How To Self-Publish Your First Book For Free?"

CAVEAT: Before ever entering any Book Publishing Contract, beware of all of the self-publishing scams, both locally and over the Internet, who want to sucker you in to signing a contract that can cost you thousands of dollars. Signing those costly contracts can also require you to purchase a garage or basement full of books (at an addition cost and profit to them).  To add insult to injury, they also leave you to do all the marketing and sales for your own book.

Several years ago, Lynn found out that a high school friend of hers entered into one of these contracts costing her over $6,000.  She wrote a children's book about her own grandchildren and after they edited her book she no longer the story she wrote. Her contract also forced her to buy hundreds of expensive copies of this book.  Needless to say, she was extremely disappointed and frustrated with her costly contract.  Like many eager authors, too often they have to learn the hard way.

PLEASE: DO NOT ENTER OR SIGN ANY EXPENSIVE BOOK PUBLISHING CONTRACTS!

You have better options today than ever before thanks to technology that offers all authors instant publishing opportunities.  It's call Print-On-Demand or P.O.D.

We encourage you to learn how to self-publish your own books (P.O.D.) even if on a small budget, and even if you don't have any money right now, why not learn how to get your first book published for Free.  You can always go the contract route later if you think that's in your best interest.  But we're confident that once you educate yourself in knowing all your options up front, you'll clearly understand the benefits of POD.

You'll find it beneficial to ask authors like Lynn and Richard Voigt and ask them how they were able to publish their first 31 books at 'No Cost.'  When we say for free, it's true, it didn't cost them one penny to get all of their books not only accepted, but published and selling on Amazon Books.

But as with any offer that claims to be free, there's got to be a catch - right?

There is.  When we say "Free" we mean that the POD publishing house you select will often include and assign a free ISBN number for your book as part of your agreement. In exchange, you exclusively grant them the right to physically print and publish your book through them.

While you still own the content, they exclusively control all future rights to print your book for you.  Once they receive an order, they print your book and mail it to the buyer.  They are also are listed as the publisher of public record.

Still not a bad deal considering there are actually no upfront costs to the author.  You as the author, in most cases, won't be required to buy a minimum number of copies unless you want to.  At any time, you can buy as little as one copy at wholesale cost.

Now you're probably asking why would a POD publisher be willing to accept and publish your book for free?

The answer is simple.  Publisher make money selling printed copies of your book, even when it's one book at a time.  Print-On-Demand technology gives publishers more flexibility and greater profits today than ever before.  The more authors under their control, the more books they will be able to print.  The more books they print, the more profits they will make.  That's their main business, printing books.   And should your book become a best-seller then you both hit the jackpot.  It's a win-win situation for both author and POD publisher.

Being self-published also offers you even more flexibility down the road.  When you start making commissions you might want to buy your own block of ISBN numbers.  In owning your own ISBN number you become the publisher of record.  You control all aspects of your book.

For example, Lynn and Richard currently self-published our last 21 books with our own ISBN assigned numbers, where we control all publishing rights for as little as $5.50 per book.  That means we can change publishing houses at any time in the future without any restrictions depending on who's offering the best deal in the industry.  That's important because technology is changing literally every day.

Either method is still a great way for a first-time publisher to quickly get their book published.  Even well-know authors are now abandoning the big publishing houses for several reasons.

First, there's virtually little waiting time to get their latest book published.  On average self-publishing your own books takes 24-48 hours compared to 12-18 months once, and only if, a big publishing house even accepts and eventually agrees to publish your book.

Secondly, the POD author begins earning bigger profits, up to 70% per sale.  For an unknown author that can mean the difference of starving and actually receiving monthly royalties rather than never meeting the minimum number of sales to actually earn a commission per big publishing house contracts.

It gets even better. For authors who already have a fan-base of faithful followers, every time they self-publish another book, it allows them to create a subscriber based business model that releases books in progress, chapter by chapter.  That way fans can directly interact with the author, often helping the author rethink characters and the outcome of their new book.

Remember all the fans who interacted and helped determine who should ultimately star in the movie version of  "50 Shades of Grey?"  This alone created an amazing amount of free publicity.  No wonder book sales generated box office records for this movie.

In addition to sales of POD and eBooks, the author gains their own incredible subscriber list for future marketing purposes.  This list of faithful customer is golden.  Best-selling authors can also charge a monthly subscription offer and earn 100% profit from each member subscription and eBook sale

So, if you’re not selling an eBook version of your book, in addition to your POD book, you’re missing out on earning even more commissions.  Don’t ignore Kindle as another platform for eBook sales and marketing.

Today more than ever before, aspiring authors of all ages have more opportunity today to get their work professionally available in many formats to eager readers who want access to your unique writing style.  No matter what niche you book appeals to, there is a vast pool of eager readers willing to support your work.  You just need to let them know you and your work exist.  Publishing your book is only the first step to potential fame and fortune.  Never stop writing.  The perfect time is right now.

The point of all of this is, that before you get suckered into signing any contract, or even those POD offers, talk with someone who has already been through these experience. You won’t regret time well spent.

There are those special times in life where everyone needs a guide.  Someone who has acheived what you desire out of life.  Writing a book is a remarkable achievement in itself.  How you handle your baby and who you entrust it to, matters big time.  So don't make the foolish mistakes too many other authors have already made.

This is that special time for you and it would be wise to ask for help now, right not.
